PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS COUNSELING+ TRAINING

Are you a lactation specialist, a birth or other maternal child health private practice practitioner or thinking of becoming one? Want to “pick my brain?” Let’s set up a 45 minute time slot to go over any questions you have. All sessions are virtual.

We can talk about clinical questions, business practices, PR, social media, online presence.

If you cancel with less than 48 hours you forfeit the full amount paid. All fees are non refundable and in the event that you reschedule your credit can be used within 60 days of initial purchase.

MENTORSHIP + INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENT

Every candidate will be required to complete 10 hours of diversity and trauma-informed care webinars from the Michigan Breastfeeding Network, including the completion of 5 hours prior to being considered for mentorship or internship and the additional 5 hours within 8 weeks of the official start date. These webinars are free and if you pay $10 you can get CERPs, CEs or CPEUs. You can register for the webinars HERE.


INTERNSHIP

This service is for IBCLC candidates that need clinical teaching and monitoring. Your participation is required in person at our office. We do not offer video-in options. We typically provide 16 to 25 hours of direct client care training per week. Additionally, you will be required to complete specific education like observation with an oral motor functional therapist and a frenotomy provider.

This service is provided under contract. For more details on terms of service email here. An interview to ensure our compatibility is required.

The rate for this service is $5000 for 500 hours . A deposit of 50% of your contract is due prior to the first scheduled hour of your internship. The remaining balance is payable at the halfway mark from the total hours contracted.

BIPOC and LGTBQIA+ candidates, who can demonstrate a legitimate financial burden, can receive up to 500 hours of training free of any fees if all the terms of the contract are satisfied. Proof of financial hardship is required.


MENTORSHIP

This service is available for novice IBCLCs to shadow me only related to clinical learning. An interview to ensure our compatibility is required. The rate for this service is $75 an hour. Payment is due prior to shadowing.

BIPOC candidates, who can demonstrate a legitimate financial burden, can receive up to 5 hours of training free of any fees. Proof of financial hardship is required.
